Your account and media
We collect your username, password hash, and the email address or phone number you choose to link. We store your submitted video links, downloaded media, creator information, download history, and collections to operate your private library. Passwords are hashed; we do not store plain-text passwords.
How information is used
We use this information for sign-in, account management, downloading and converting media, organizing your library, and preventing abuse. Download links are sent from our hosting server to the source platform. Your profile email and phone number are not sent to those platforms. We do not sell your data or include advertising or analytics SDKs in the Android wrapper.
Hosting, logs, and external services
Our hosting provider processes stored data to deliver the service. Security logs may contain IP addresses, browser information, and request details. Failed-login records expire after 15 minutes; registration-attempt records expire after one hour. Hosting access logs follow the provider’s retention settings. Source platforms and externally loaded thumbnails follow their own privacy practices. External links open with their provider or your browser.
Android permissions and storage
The Android app needs internet access. It reads the clipboard only when you tap Paste link and accepts text links you explicitly share to the app. Downloads are saved through Android’s Download Manager to Downloads/illuu. We do not request access to contacts, SMS, camera, microphone, location, or the rest of your photo library. Device downloads are under your control and must be removed separately in your Files app.
Retention and deletion
Your account and saved server files remain until you delete them. Use Account → Delete account and saved data or visit our account-deletion page. Deletion removes your profile, identifiers, collections, and media; any active download must stop or finish first. Database backups can retain historical account data for up to 30 days and are removed during routine service activity after expiry. Provider security logs may be retained separately for security or legal requirements.
Your choices
You can update sign-in details, change your password, delete individual files, or delete your account. Contact contact@illuu.org for data questions or if you cannot sign in. We may ask you to establish account ownership before acting on a support request. This service is not directed at children under 13.
Security and changes
Connections to our service use HTTPS. Signed-in media access is scoped to the account. No system is completely risk-free. Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised date.
